New Workshop on 23 June 2007

The Winter Solstice Ritual was wrongly advertised. It was set for Sunday 24 June. Instead, on Saturday 23 June, an interesting workshop is offered by Tony Furmage on Spirit Talking, Healing Sticks. It is from 9 am to 1 pm. His blurb reads, "Learn about chakras and their use in creating a spirit stick and importance of Nature, using crystals, copper, leather and coloured ribbons. This is an introduction." Numbers are limited.

New photo of the funeral

I recently caught up with Kapil Arn, a professional photographer friend of Halima and of Sharda. Yesterday, he passed me the photos he took before and during the funeral. Here is one of the new photos.

Our stall at the recent New Spirit Festival at Albany

We had a stall to promote Sharda and the coming visit by Sheikh Llewellyn. We met a couple of potential hirers and sold a few books. The photo shows Jamila and Aliah talking to visitors. There was a laptop running a slideshow showing the Sharda Centre the whole time.

I just got word that Sue and Wally will be coming back to Wwoof again. They stayed for a couple of months earlier this year and played a major part in the painting of the Centre, besides doing many other repair jobs. Welcome to you both.

June 2 Saturday. Working bee at Halima's Cottage and garden to celebrate her birthday on 30th May. Free accommodation for volunteer workers. Bring food to share. Fun evening.
June 3 Sunday. 11 am Universal Worship. 12.30 pm Shared Lunch (bring a plate) 2 pm Dances of Universal Peace. Ends at about 3.30 pm. (Koha asked)
June 9/10 Sat/Sun. Esoteric Learning Group with Jamila. This is a closed session.

The vision of this remarkable lady was what started the Sharda Centre. She founded the Trust at the age of 70 years. Her steadfast belief developed that vision for the last 18 years. Now that she is no longer with us physically, her Temple of Peace needs our support to manifest it and to fulfil The Vision.
